Find your group
The water district assigns groups by address. Check the group map on LVVWD's watering schedule page or call 702-870-2011.
Who this applies to
- Las Vegas Valley Water District customers. That covers most homes in the City of Las Vegas and unincorporated Clark County, including Summerlin, Spring Valley, Enterprise and Paradise. Your water bill says who your provider is.
- Henderson runs its own schedule with groups A to E and also bans irrigation from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., May 1 through August 31. Henderson doesn't publish its day-by-group table online, so use the lookup on the city's watering schedule page.
- North Las Vegas and Boulder City run their own water utilities. We haven't confirmed whether their schedules match LVVWD's, so check with your utility.
Watering tips from the water district
- Pop-up sprinklers: run three 4-minute cycles about an hour apart instead of one long run, so water soaks in instead of running off.
- Drip: run it longer but less often than sprinklers. Keep high-water and low-water plants on separate programs.
- New or reseeded landscaping can be watered daily for up to 14 days, once a year. Call 702-822-8571 before you plant so it's noted on your account.
Fines
Watering on the wrong day counts as water waste. LVVWD fees for meters 1 inch or smaller: $80, then $160, $320, $640 and $1,280 for repeat violations within 18 months. You can get the first fee refunded by passing an online test within 60 days.
